Safe Location

The DRAGON source safe is currently located in the DRAGON experimental area on a desk near the Tail end electronics. It is a keypad entry system with a 4-digit code. The code is the first 4 significant figures of the DRAGON MD1 magnet constant, which is easily obtainable from any DRAGON staff member. After entering the 4 numbers, the "#" key should be entered, and the lock should open.

Signing out sources

Before signing out a calibration source, you must have taken the TRIUMF online "calibration sources" training course. Please see your TRIUMF supervisor/contact if you have not taken this course. Sources in the safe are listed in the red binder that accompanies the safe. To sign a source out, simply enter the details of which source, your identity, and the location you will be using it. When finished with the source, put it back in the safe and sign it back into the binder. Failing to do this can lead to problems and unwanted attention from TRIUMF's safety authorities.
