Dave, I'm not at TRIUMF for the next DRAGON meeting, but I have some plans with stable beam, mainly to test various detector setups (I will be back on Friday next week): 1) I want to investigate timing of the DSSSD for local TOF in more detail. At the moment I'm at the Munich 13 MV tandem accelerator for an AMS experiment with 182Hf. We are using a silicon strip detector as a large stop detector for local TOF. In combination with a MCP we get a time resolution below 1 ns. That means we should be able to get a similar time resolution for our DSSSD, which in my opinion is sufficient for most reactions especially at lower energies. 2) I want to test the ionization chamber with the 50nm SiN entrance foil for energy resolution and isobar separation. 3) I want to test the PGAC in combination with MCP and the ionization chamber, but maybe Jac has already other plans. 21Ne with the same energy would be fine for all three tests, so we can look at the attenuated beam as well as at the recoils from (p,g). Best wishes from Europe Christof
