Hardware
--------
* JD- why is vacuum in ED2 at 10^-7 ? (usually 10^-8) 
    >  DH said it was "fine", only the ion pump is on.  
* PM - working on better feedthrough than swagelock for DSSSD cooling.
* JD - what about the ion gauge on the Mass slit box ?
     >  PM trying to get it replaced under warranty. have 3 or 4 months left.
* PM - ED2  SF6 has been topped up.

alpha measurements
-------------------
* JP - source was too too low relative to the beam pipe when mounted on solid 
        target
     > fixed.
     
ISAC beam
----------

* DH - RFQ and DTL checked out, ISAC-2 accelerator being "validated"
     > waiting for signatures to start operator training (2-3 weeks)
   --> _possible_ to get some 20Ne beam next week for a few days to do
        (p,gamma) remeasurement.  
     > JP says that it will take a couple of days to get things ready
      
NSERC site visit
----------------

* DH   will summarize work, and then CR and CV will talk about their work.
* DH - reminder (Wed Oct 25) at 10:10 GSC wants to meet with RAs

EEC Proposal suggestions
------------------------

* deadline- OCT 27
* 33S proposal ready since August (Anuj Parukh)
  > requires ECR on OLIS to get 2+ beam . Keerthi says it is possible.
  > potential collaborators should contact Anuj.
* 25Mg(p,g) - CV says first draft is written
  > animated discussion about mechanism to separate  26gAl-26mAl products 
* 11C(p,g) - proposal is being reworked to focus on an important resonance
  > request is down to 20 shifts from 60 
  > 11B(p,g) may be a problem if too much 11B in the beam
  > some discussion about "unchanged" nature of proposal
  > LB points out that priority proportional to astrophysical importance, not
difficulty
* 18F - received update from Alison Laird 
  > LB points out possibility of 18O isobaric contaminent
  > CR reports that level scheme being worked on
  > JDA: CR and Alison will be in York, so should JP present ? will avoid
videoconferencing issues.

* LB - 12C(a,g) Letter has been re-resubmitted.
