1. Hardware: Mitutoyo
Done. Hysteresis in drives (ballscrews). 0.2mm or 0.4mm depending on which jaw.
EPICS gets tied up with hysteresis but Mitutoyo doesn't. Procedure should be to always approach small slit settings from 
the outside, ie. set to a large open value first then close in.
We still require a serial cable to get the readout - should have this on the same page as EPICS slit readings?
Ops should be informed that we have observed this hysteresis.

Upgrade: Designer requires drawings of DSSD box. Possibly Hart-Heinz design. Update  - no drawings found, designer will 
draw from the pieces which we will supply to him.

2. Solar Cell Update
5 channels very noisy  - alpha source to go in at target position and commencement with tests. 
Update - noise problems fixed - loose connections at preamp input. 

3. Boiling Target Presentation
DH Presented ideas for alternative production of beams such as phosphorous-30. Boiling liquid Cl target starting point. 
Need initial tests on production and extraction. Test facility - beamline 4A north? EEC for resources. Dave's presentation 
will be included in online version of minutes.
