DRAGON Meeting Minutes - Tuesday, March 24 2009

1. Hardware - DRAGON Preps for Stable Beam
- Bertram Power Supply (MCP) pot was damaged - taken to 'Naomi' at electronics pool trailer Gg to be fixed. 
Careful with pots on these power supplies, zero does not necessarily correspond to zero volts: use voltmeter 
to set voltage. 
- MCP foils seem to be quite intact, save for a few holes here and there, not near center. There is a spare foil 
on top of MD2 (handle with care). A new MCP0 foil will be required for May running, but MCP1 will probably be useable. 
- hvcalib (and hvcontrol) was broken - would not communicate with HV supply. K.O. tracked this down to some permissions 
that had changed in software - now fixed. 
- ED status: were conditioning fine. D.H. started ED1 up again to go to 168kV. Should be ready by beam delivery time. 
- gas target status: all leak checked and filled with H2.
- Ion Chamber: R. Openshaw has purged and prepped gas lines. IC has been leak checked. 
- PM has replaced upstream window on FSB, now get better view of MCP0. Mirror also installed by D.O. so can see part of 
foil (use flashlight through other window). 

2. 21Ne run plan
- CR presents the simple 21Ne run plan. In essence, debug the new DAQ changes ensuring all spectra make sense and data 
is not being lost anywhere. Then if time, measure yield on-resonance then step down in energy, do as many points as have time for, compare to Sabine Engel's thesis data.
