DRAGON MEETING MINUTES 6th March 2007

0. Corrections to previous minutes:
SSDD -> DSSD
Tudragon drawings need to be in by 13th March *not* 3rd March
GIANT -> GEANT

1. Status of Dragon:
DSSD back in DSSD box at DragonTail. Beamlines connected. Pumping down ~few 10^-6 Torr
- PM looking for leaks
New MCP stored in final slit box downstream right-hand-side - package was pierced by
electrodes on delivery, suppliers informed
3-line source in front of DSSD - CR will continue measurements when vacuum is good.

2. REAs
Tudragon to go into shop this week. Artur Prorok is new designer. Supported by jacking
screws on yellow frame. XY adjustment on collared flange upstream and downstream...bellows
bellows below also.
UWash job - Corrie back this week - detailing...will release partial drawings to UWash
ASAP.
Dragon upgrade: Remy Dawson and Stu Austen aware of job. Needs priority - JMP to be
approached.

3. 22Na target
Suzy has type-1 container for targets. Will place entire ladder into plasic tube, flushed
with argon, desiccant inserted, sealed. Taken on trolley in elevators up to cyclotron
roof. Will be stored in lead castle set up by safety group in cage.
Safety Analysis Report to be completed by CR.

4. Solar cell tresting equipment set up in detector lab waiting to be tested. CR will do.

5. EPICS
Turbo low-speed problem to be resolved. Approach controls group again with formal request.
Possible attempt to model Dragon optics with Simion for Summer Student Project.
Dragon will have a new laptop for general use in Dragon area: Use with EPICS, Roody etc.
