DRAGON Meeting Minutes 17/6/08: 


Present:  DO, DAH, LB, LH, PM, PB, LE, UH, GR, CR (rec)




1. Hardware: Roots blower RB1B. Seems ok now, but if fails again during run severe!!! Can work without: maybe 4-5 Torr in gas cell.  
When valves all open 15L/s, but calcs show 60 L/s. Backup plan A - run as is. Plan B, bypass pump, using pieces on top of cardboard 
box next to pumps. Plan C spare blower: one option is 150 L/s, also sealed. (vs 500 of original). 
Plan B half day interrupt. Pump for plan C is already 480V. 
Overloads were set too high. Motor rated at 2.1A, current drawn 1A with no load. 
Recommend changing oil ASAP. 


SB - still not working, requires fix. (This turned out to be faulty power supply)
HPGe - Was almost empty - needs to be checked more often - those on shift responsible to check has been filled within 48 hours.


2. Run Discussion: 
Discussion of run so far. Signals in IC need to be checked (this was resolved by increasing 'anode 0' size). Otherwise things running smoothly with stable beam.
