1. Minutes of meeting of Jan. 18, 2005 (circulated previously)
    accepted (no comments)

2. DRAGON Hardware
    -Status of Small Beam Tube on new MEBT Dipole for ISAC-2 beam takeoff
     circular hole 1 1/8 inch diameter instead of 2 inch
     they may have forgotten taking the beam to DRAGON; Laxdal concerned
     vacuum tank to be modified to allow for a ~square opening	
     stable beam test: end of february, depending on accelerator status
     We will also seek some RB to test effects of beam halo on leaky in DRAGON


    - News on the LIS for Al beam front
        excitation scheme for Al has been demonstrated at ISOLDE
        ISAC needs the solid state pump laser $60000 (Jens Lassen)
        could be very good efficiency: 70 times the surface

    - New idea: upgrade for OLIS  (CV)
        26Al from ORNL, 1 uC put into OLIS, ionize; estimated price: 20000 US$
        number of atoms: 10^18, so 10^16 to accelerate
        rough estimation: 1 meV needs 10^12
        go down by factor 20     => 10 nA   good beam
        perhaps improvement of factor 7 => good

    - leaky beam supressor after MD2: DH and DFOT will install manual type slit

3. Projects in Progress

    - Suggested additional upgrade of IC  (CV)
        addtional upgrade, currents not affected, change the anode plates
        make some small boards (detector preamps),
        R. Openshaw has some plates
        time required for the upgrade: at least one month

4. Discussion of Beam Requests and related matters

    - Beam Requests:
        CR: Si (stable beam):
                  2 days for CSD  + beam dev,
                  2 days for testing Al samples
                  read current, integrate with FC, measure efficiency
            Al (radioactive ground state): 42 shifts  (4 weeks)
                  time depends on beam current (status of LIS)
        JC: 23Na; for studies of implantation studies
                  then use DRAGON with a proton beam (H3) to test implanted 
target
        CV: 40Ca (low energy stable beam): beam development
                  determine the beam contamination with 40Ar
                  then strong resonances
        DH: Ne20 for completing p,gamma study' disagreement with literature now
        DH: need a beam for wobbler studies also...could be Ne20
        UG: Ne19 RB, (??)
        AC: Al25 RB, will request beam for scattering and initial P,gamma tests


    - Related Matters:

        DRAGON wobbler test (?)
        schedules of beam time would be helpful
                 Be request
          prestripper in HEBT line


    - Elastic Detector for MEBT (CR)
        CR will present the plans next week at the ISAC-forum


5. E952 Group Meeting: Lothar


    - Plans and Decisions (see attached "E952_Outline.pdf")
        build analysis directly into GEANT
        implementation in GEANT and in the analyzer has to agree
        analyzer has to be rewritten in MIDAS (ROOT would be optimal)
        Katalyn will do GEANT simulations
        CR is going to program in the analyzer and then analyze the data
        group working on this: DH, CR and AO
        Katalyn, CR, Uwe look at the implementation of the e+e- record


    - Beam Normalization (WRH)
      (see attached "Elastic_Detectors.pdf")
        elastic detector EM1 is probably damaged, should be tested
        R-matrix output has to be transformed to the He-lab_frame


6. Other Issues:


    - Beam Priority: Ne, Na, H3, Si (needed for Al), Ca, Al, Carbon(?)
    - 12C+12C (JP)
    - 12C+16O: not decided
