DRAGON minutes for meeting on 5th December 2006. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Present DH, CD, MT, PM, LB, GR, DO. 1.Minutes from the previous meeting: Lothar is going to ¡ÈBarnesfest¡É. Space removed between 'drag' and 'on' (!). 2.Hardware: 1.DO - Alignment. This is best explained in the attachment. [SEE BELOW] 3.Beam time request: JP - Yes, but need alignment issues figuring out first. Also may depend on man-power. 4.EEC impressions: DH - All proposals seem to be well received. DRAGON ALIGNMENT SUMMARY DEC 2006 All elevation measurements are referenced to marks on post outside old ISAC control room. Measurements were done at atm pressure unless otherwise noted. Gas cell upstream inlet collimator approx 1.5 mm high and 1 mm east (ref p62,p73 log3) Charge slits vertical are 1.4mm high. Epics defined 2mm gap is really 1.25mm. (ref p68,p72,log3). Charge slits horizontal are 1.5mm or 0.4mm East. (different instrument settings) Epics defined 2mm gap is really 2.8mm. (p69,p71 log3) CM2 is 0.5mm high and 1.0mm to east. (assumes a 1mm gap between plates). (p70, log3). Mass slits vertical 0.2mm low. Epics 2mm gap is really 2.4mm. (p75, log3). Mass slits horizontal is 0.2mm east. Epics 2mm gap is really 2.7mm. (p75,log3). DIFFERENTIAL MEASUREMENTS ELEVATION ATM TO VACUUM Gas cell vacuum box top, old turnbuckle support 0.75 mm down (p61, log3). Gas cell vacuum box after Machule angle bracket supports. SW top 0.4mm down, NW top 0.2mm down (p71 log3). Yellow frame lower belly center 0.23mm down. (p70, log3). Gas target 3 point mount, SE and S corner no change, NW corner on beamline, .08mm down.(p70 p73 log3). Gas cell inlet collimator moves 0.3mm east and .01mm down. Gas cell outlet collimator moves 0.31mm east and 0.13 up. (p62,p63 log3).
