Minutes of DRAGON meeting August 19, 2008

Present: DH(chair,recorder), DO, SF, PM, UH, PB, GR

1. Hardware
        * TP52 (turbo on Final slit box) had a controller which shut off 
before the turbo got up past half speed.  The controller was replaced with 
one of the last spares on site.  Then the pressure in the FSbox was 6e-7 T 
but 4 days later it had risen to 1.3e-6 T for no apparent reason 
==> to be looked into (PM)
        * new DSSSD mounting box should be mounted during the extended 
access until next beam comes (DO,PM).  DO has started hunting up the 
parts, has found the drawings gone and the old "Tisol" DSSSD box missing.
PM recalled a 2nd VAT-Marmon adapter was made: if so, where is it?
==> need to get copies of the drawings and extend the search (DO)
        * Ion pump for ED2 (PM): waiting for the people who can help with 
the replacement HV feedthrough to return from vacation


2. Other business
        * SF: working on his poster for the September visit by the 5YP 
Visiting Committee.
        * DH: will take SF to end-of-term lunch, whole group welcome.
